Ragging includes any act that causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm, fear, or distress to students, including teasing, abusing, playing practical jokes, or forcing students to do acts they wouldn't normally do.
Depending on the severity, actions may include:
- Written apology
- Suspension from classes
- Withholding scholarships or other benefits
- Expulsion from the institution
- Legal action as per UGC regulations
